With 425hp from the 6.1L High Output Hemi already seeing action in the 300 SRT-8, I'm sold on the Cherokee. Plus I think it looks a little more butch in those spy pics. The Trailblazer SS seems underpowered now with the advent of the 6.1L Hemi, and the R-Class looks like it will resemble the Vision GST concept it is based on which was not bad looking, but not anything to scream about. Another BOOYA!!! from Chrysler and another awesome product from their SRT tuning arm.
P.S. - thanks to whoever finally grew some balls and ended the childish censoring of SRT.

Everything is getting a bigger engine and better styling. Hopefully the trend continues and more sports cars are designed.

There were stories on how the plant had to be upgraded, the f-bodies weren’t selling and there were some issues with new safety restrictions; the cars were going to have to be re-engineered to make them a little safer. To me it made logical sense to discontinue the cars for a short time until the issues with the plant and structural integrity could be straightened out.
There is already a magazine article saying there is a new Camaro coming out. GM needed to totally re-invent the car anyhow, it always seemed like I bought a LT1 with a face-lift. Hopefully they come out a car that will handle a little better, be a little safer, a little lighter and a little quicker. Time will tell but if they want to keep up with the rest of the competition then they need to come out with something nice; the new Viper, Cobra’s, next gen Mustang Cobra, Vette’s, BMW M5 and big Benz’s aren’t very forgiving. Hell, even the new Dodge SRT-10 truck and possibly the new Ford Lighting would give us a run for our money. If they kept the current f-bodies around, sales would probably drop a little more every year.

The first of those two pics looks like Jeep is going to be using the Liberty front end alot more.
Don't know if thats a good or bad thing....

why is Gm throwing the SS on everything? SS silverado, SS cobalt and now the SS trailblazer? sounds like they are milking a once honored badge for $$$ :(

That said I don't think that the "SS" cars are different enough from the "regular" versions to create the mystique of an "m" or "AMG". IMOHO they're doing a great job of dilluting the "SS" badge.

Something that just occured to me. This is a Jeep, so how the hell are you supposed to hook up a trailer hitch to this thing?

Only 1% of the country thinks of the SS and some special car with secret power with deep convert ops technology. The other 99% of the country thinks the SS models have nicer rims, a wing and maybe an extra 25 horsepower and they are the ones who put money into GM's pocket.
GM is out to please the 99% of the country, not a few hundred people who can go back and pull out stats like how much a car weighed in 1969 and how many screws were used to fasten the left door arm rest.

i've heard that there will be some sort of "hidden" trailer hitch system for the srt-8, not sure though
the only thing liberty about the front end is the rounded lights that form into the hood

I really like the wheels on the SRT-8. In my opinion, the wheels and the raked stance are what really set it off. Hopefully the wheels make it to production and keep the same diameter. I'm not sure how I feel about the way the exhaust exits.

I agree there. Why don't they just go ahead and make everything an SS? A 15-passenger SS van would be cool right? :)

Are all of these still supposed to be 4WD? I'm pretty sure the SS isn't. It would sure be nice if they were. Now the winter beater could become a project car too :D I'd sure love to have a high powered 4WD SUV to drive during the winter. That would be sweet.

All of them will offer AWD, even the SS.
