Maybe I'm crazy... but I like it, maybe if it were in a different color, like black.

I don't like the WRX style fender flares but the car does look awesome.

It does look good, but do you think it is leading towards the tuner look to much...

I like it. The front might take a little getting used to, but I think I like it. Need to see it in person.

Not bad. Those old school Pontiac Tailpipes that are angled downward are kind of pushing it though.

This is what you people who don't like the nice clean looks of the 2003 GTO asked for.
Good eye on those 2nd gen T/A exhaust tips!

Car looks mean.
A contact pointed out the twin MAF setup. Car has a CTS-V race motor in it of some sort, an LS2 or something. Should sound wicked.

Hehehe. I've seen enough late model 2nd gen Birds to know those style of tailpipes. Guess the GTO wasn't the only car they went back to for styling cues.

The exhaust tips are styled "like" the 1964 / 1965 GTO. The entire exhaust system is 3", with dual 3" outlets for tips. It has chambered mufflers, and is very loud. If you are at the Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend, you can see and hear it in person. It is sweet music to a gear head!!!!!

I have driven this car, and it is very cool. It is 575+hp, and from 3000rpm up, it is a animal. It has more power than the 7.0 liter LS1 in my S-10.
IMO, in person it really looks good. The flares blend into the body lines very well, and the whole package togeather really works. It will be on display at Athens Coney Island on Saturday, so if you make it to Woodward, check it out.

still looks like a grand am with a body kit, but better than original pics.

I hate to say it but I'd trade a WS6 for that thing straight up!
Silver, black accents, 6-speed, black leather.
It needs some type of removable roof tho, I vow to never own another F-body without them and if this is replacing my T/A i better be able to get the wind through my damn hair!

I was also gonna say that car needs a targa top. It is downright beautiful though, I would trade my camaro in on that bad boy.. even if it was 30k. I'd be happy even if it just had an LS2. A hotter camshaft, and a few tricks to make it make 425hp or so so it'd have an edge wouldn't hurt tho :)

I completely agree. Definitely looks better than the current LS1 GTO that is out, but still just looks like a dressed-up Grand Am or Grand Prix with a some hood scoops and a body kit to me...

I poked around it at the Dream Cruise, and talked to some GM reps about it.
Like all the other GM Performance Division cars on display with it (there were a ton), I was told it's more of a exercise than anything else. Aspects of it may see production on the 2005, 2006 GTO, but what you see here won't make production.
The Performance Division is the team responsible for the Cadillac V cars, Saturn Redline cars, etc. They basically give any GM product a shot of adrenaline, and the GTO is on the list.
Personally I like it, but if it made production I would not enough to buy it over a LS2 GTO. I'd like to see the ducktail spoiler, smoked tails, and the pearl orange color make production though.

Doesn't really make that much sense to do that major of an overhaul on the GTO for 2006 since an all new GTO is out in 2007....

I think that is one sweet looking Goat!! I would buy one in a second if they were out. I love the flared fenders and the stance.

This car will be my next if it comes out looking like that. That's a fact...would this be considered the 2006 remodel, so to speak?
EDIT: I didn't make it to the 2nd page to read the rest. So sorrrrryy.

Agreed. I hope they are looking at a stronger and meaner design like this for 2007. And, I have to admit I am green with envy. This is a Saweet car.

I've showed that picture to 20 people and they all loved it! And that's from a couple of people who aren't very found of muscle cars. My mom liked it and she isn't too fond of the current GTO, Camaro or Trans Am. I'd say if that made production, make the front end more sloped, starting at the Pontiac logo. Elongate it from there a bit to make the lines sleeker. Make the hood angle down at a slightly steeper angle. And just slightly, very slightly tone down the fender flares. Could somebody do a photoshop of that? It's a great design, I could just see a little changes to make it even more awesome. I hope GM sees/hears people's response to this car and does something...

FWIW My Fiancee thought it was a modified M3 when she first saw it....liked it....then realized it was a Pontiac and quickly retracted her reaction......I'm marrying a Yuppie....

is it just me or is that duration unbelievably big...and the split is 40 degrees difference...that has got to be a typo
