Since my new car will not become a racecar, I decided to upgrade the factory Monsoon system a little.
There are already Infinity Kappa seperates in the doors (thanks to the previous owner). They sound pretty good to me, so I'm leaving them as they are. I don't like the fact that as I turn the volume up, the bass is automatically attenuated, so I just want to add a sub.
I ordered a PAC OEM-1 adapter to add an additional amplifier, and will be installing a Punch Stage 3 2-ohm DVC 10" into a stealthbox from Subthump.com (http://www.subthump.com), and power it with a Rockford Fosgate Punch P3002 amp bridged to mono (with the sub wired for a total impedence of 4ohms).
Sound like a solid plan? I already had the amp lying around from a previous vehicle, and just ordered the sub, stealthbox, and OEM-1...
