Hello,
I'm wondering what an LS1 sounds like thru a true dual header to tail pipe exhaust system. Would anyone that transplanted an LS1 into a muscle type car have a sound file? I pulled behind a Firehawk last night with a Flowmaster system and I thought it sounded pretty rice to me. Hopefully it was the exhaust system!!!???
Thanks,

Here is a sound clip of my RX7. It has shorty headers and a 2.5 inch exhaust system with a X-pipe.

I heard a guy this weekend at a cruise with a 98 ls1/m6 in a 67 camaro with dual flow bastards and stock manifolds. It sounded the same as my 67 big block camaro minus the cam lope. :D

I'll see what I can get this weekend. LS1, TR224-112, 700rpm idle, stock manifolds, 2.5" chambered exhaust. It's definitely not ricey. I've had more compliments on the sound than anything else on the car.

Here's my setup:
stock manifolds, 2.5" pipes all the way, dual high-flow cats, Dynomax Super turbo Mufflers
Sounds very nice. I'd like it to be a bit more mellow, but it definately sounds good. Heck.. my car used to be a v6... this sounds WAY better! :D ;) I'll have a sound clip available tomorrow evening. :)

Here's Lane LS1 Mustang. Sounds real good through the back. I'm not sure if he's using the Mustang type exhaust over the rear end and out the back (last I saw it was just cut after the mufflers before the rear end), but I always thought the 5.0 sounded pretty good the way the exhaust was routed. Something about the way it bends and exits.
