FINALLY Pontiac has updated their website with 2005 GTO pics and information.

http://www.pontiac.com/gto/gallery.jsp?brand=gto&pagename=models_prices

Man, it won't be (again) until halfway through the year before Pontiac starts selling new GTOs.....is it any wonder why they're having a hard time meeting their sales projections?... Hmmmm... lemme think... Snow Storms = time to get a RWD Coupe!

Some Pics.

Otherwise it looks alright.

They look good with that optional body kit.

I like it too. Those rear vents have got to go though.

Never really cared for the apperence package, like the grills thats it. I think the regular 05 looks perfect.

Yeah, the vents on the exhaust are off, but other that it looks really nice.

It does give the car a more aggressive and muscular look. The 04s were too sleeper. It lets you know it means business.

The sport appearance package is pure shit. The car looks much better (nearly amazing) with a simple hood and wheel swap rather than spending thousands on this junk from Pontiac.

A better idea would have been simply offering the HSV bodykit (already GM parts) through Pontiac for people who want to pay for it, the styling flows so much better.

I love the new body stuff, I just wish it came with Magnaflow mufflers and not just tips.

And why aren't we getting bigger rims? I thought it was supposed to come with 18's..and wider tires? (who thought of the idea of putting 245's with the IRS??!?!!!?)

Is it me or does it look a little more ricier? I was looking at one of the pics on the site, and it looks like the tips are the size of a CD.

The GTO just isn't my cup o' tea.......bring back the bird!

GTO a great car crippled by all-season tires.

Didn't your M3 also come with All Season Tires :secret2:

I agree 1000000% though, M+S tires...dealer installed option only please :)

I like the single tips on each side, the twins w/vents look like A$$

I do like the front end though

I agree 1000000% though, M+S tires...dealer installed option only please :)Actually my M3 came with Conti Sport Contacts (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ContiSportContact) which are also OEM on Porsche 911s. I would say it's Stickier than a Goodyear Eagle F1 or GSC, but not as stickey as a BFG KD or Pilot Sport. For a daily driver actually it's about what I 'm looking for. Civilized when I want it to be, and a sporty when I hit corners. It's got ass for straight line traction though.... But then again I'm used to my Trans Am with 315/35 R17s with Kuhmo Victoracers. :D

I think I like this beter.I agree I really am not too keen to the front Fascia of the "Autocross" sport appearance package. Actually the front I really like is the new Monaro front end! That would be my first modification if I were to buy one.

I read somewhere that they didn't have the time to overhaul the wheel wells to accept larger tires so they went with 245's. I think this is supposed to be addressed on the next gen GTO.

I'm tossing those when I get mine, along with the wheels. I may even do a VZ Monaro front clip swap, it probably won't cost too much more than the sport appearance stuff.

The stock body with the wing and 18's on the 05 look the best but I still like the 04 with its sneeky "who me fast" persona.U do get the LS2 and the brakes in 05 but lets face it,whats left of the 04's are going to sell a rock bottom prices after Jan. if they wanna move them out.I'd buy an 04 and put the 18's on it and save 10K instead and be very happy driving a 04.

I would have to see it from a few different views, but so far I like the sport package.
