Stereo & Electronics - New HU....anything I can do with my stock sub?

Holidays are here, and my new Alpine 9835 is in...love it, replaced my old alpine with it which replaced my stock monsoon. Rest of my system is stock, but I was wondering about the monsoon subs....are they still there but pretty much not being used? Can I do anything to reuse them? How? Hooking an amp up to the sub-out from my head unit? Using the monsoon amp?

Any thoughts? Help? :)

I'm guessing when you say monsoon subs you mean the 6.5 in the panels next to the rear seats, correct? I myself, didn't know what to do with those, cause they were so small that I didn't think they'd produce the type of bass I'd want.
If you wanted to try them out, yeah try buying an aftermarket amp and using the SUB-OUT connections from your new HU and plug the wires from those 6.5's to the amp. I'm not sure how it'll end up, but I'm pretty sure that it'll give you a good result.
I'm also not sure how to wire up the stock monsoon amp to the subs. Sorry.

Thanks! My question then would be where is the wiring from those subs run off to? Are they that other smaller harness which came off from the original monsoon and dont really go anywhere now?

disconnect em and put a 10 in the back, you will notice a huge difference.
