Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - what is spread port?

what is spread port on the cylindr heads? :bang:

That would be like a SB2 where no 2 exhaust or intake ports are next to each other. Unlike a SBC that has the center exhaust and all the intake ports in pairs. A spread port more evenly distributes heat and fuel.
