Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - Boost worthy?

i would say no. i had that exact same setup in my 406 i had with a 174 single carb blower and it twisted the rod 180 deg. like a pretzel and snapped it destroying everything the block was even toasted snapped the cam in about a million pieces.

I would be very careful. Invest in good bottom end, you can always upgrade the top end for more power later.
