i never thought i'd ask for one of these but here goes. i have a 68 camaro that weighs roughly 3300 for some of the ops and Q8 stuff and 3500 because i want to try heavy street in orlando in october. it's a ladderbar coilover car and so far with the power i've given it it's worked excellent. i'll be running a th400, 5000nitrous converter with a 2.55str , 4.11's to start with and a 29.5x10.5w,car is cert. 7.50,got a new shafiroff 555, callies crank, grp aluminum rods,je gas ported 14:8 nitrous pistons with all the bells and whistle's,really worked dart pro 1 cnc 355's, brodix intake, demon 1290, .284 .296 @50 .833 .800 112lsa, crank trigger, vacuum pump, dart big"M"block with the upgraded main caps. and a bunch more little stuff. makes 1000hp and 800tq and will take up to a 1000 more easily in nitrous if the chassis will hold. any weak spots seen? and what's the prediction? decent piece with a chance or in between motor that's to fast to bracket and to slow for any heads up especially florida.
prediction for motor and say start out with a 300hit 500hit and 800hit.
thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

i'll go by what my slide rule says=3300 lbs,1000 hp=9.30s @152 1300 hp=8.60s @166 1500 hp=8.20s @ 175.i guess 1750-1800 hp to break into 7.90s @180 +. do you know what hp your current setup makes?what is your et & mph ? good luck,maybe you can be 7 second club this year.

i went 8.86 with only about 1000 flywheel hp last year so i think your sliderule off a little. and shafiroff said i should run 7.80-90 on just a 600 hit. i'm just getting second opinions

yeah the slide rule is just in the ballpark.the slide rule is pretty accurate on mph but with a properly setup car like yours et will be quicker.was your mph around 153-155?

here's some real world answers from someone who's ran your same combo just about for many years in H/S and outlaw heads up....on the motor you will clip high 8's...with a 300 on the hit you will run 8.6-70's...this is at 3300lbs...if you get real aggressive and hit on 500 and the car holds...and you retard in stages, keepin the cylinder temps on the high side you should see 8.50's maybe better on a great straight pass...your motor is not your weak point altho the torque seems abit low...call Wes at Reher and get his 7/4 swap Erson grind, the biggest he's got and the torque will come up...anymore info i have is all eight mile stuff and witha 400 shot on the hit and another 400 within .3 tenths, you can run 4.70's @ 150 or close providing your car works good...i like bigger tires myself but hey thats a whole nuther fight there...you been in the drag racin world and i'm sure youve heard it lots....nice little ride you got there...hammer it man...and have fun...here's the one i just sold recently where the #'s came from
