Stereo & Electronics - Anyone know

I just bought a Alpine CDA-7892 headunit and i was wondering what din is it. Please help me out thanks.

1 din. Single din. Regular din. Plain ol' din. A regular dash kit will allow you to use it in your camaro.

MY GUESS IS THATS IT A HALF DIN MEANING ITS HALF THE SIZE OF YOUR STOCK RADIO THAT TAKES UP THE WHOLE OPENING. JUST BUY THE DASH KIT THAT WILL FIT YOUR APPLICATION ALONG WITH YOUR ANTENNA ADAPTER IF NEEDED,OH YEAH AND A WIRING HARNESS TO CONNECT THEM SO YOU DONT HAVE TO GO CRAZY CROSS SPLICING ALL THE DIFFERENT COLORS FROM STOCK TO AFTERMARKET HAVE FUN ITS A PIECE OF CAKE. The stock headunit is 1 and a 1/2 din. So you have an extra 1/2 din of space. The dash kit will fill this up and hold your single din 7892 secure. Also, there IS a dash kit that will allow you to use your 7892 AND a 1/2 din size EQ such as this (http://www.audiocontrol.com/MobileAudio/Products/InDash/Four1i.html). Pretty cool. ALSO, there is yet another kit that turns that extra 1/2 din into a small skinny storage area. Very small, but better then nothing. :)

can we say CAPS LOCK! i wish there were better selections of 1 1/2 din units. being so many vehicles have it, ie most GM and crysler, you would think we would have better ones

Din is 2" by 7" (or 6 3/4") can't remember width. Anyways.

For height a DIN is 2" tall. So 1/2 DIN is 1" DIN + 1/2 is 3" tall. Double is 4" tall.
