I have an aftermarket HU. I haven't bypassed the factory amp yet but i am planning to and i want to use the six factory speaker locations for full range speakers. If i bypass the amp and buy either a 2 or 4 channel amp, since some of the speakers will be run off the HU preamps can i still use the regular outputs for the other two speakers. I was planning on maybe getting a four channel amp for the door and sail panel speakers and just run the back ones through the HU power.

What kind of deck do you have?

Based on your other thread, you are looking to put a good all around stereo in your car. Do you have the monsoon system? Or just the regular system?

What is your total cash out lay for amps, speakers, subs? I'll try to piece one together for you.

Most important, What Kinds of Music do you listen too. Most of the time is the Most important.

I've already priced six pioneers at $169, i have a sony HU mp-80 but i plan on getting a flip out monitor sometime this year. i don't want to spend a ridiculous amount on a 4ch amp. The HU did fine powering four 6x8s in my last car, but i think it will need a little help with a six speaker setup. Also, the speakers and 4ch amp will definitely be installed before subs. I go more for soundQ but i still want to crank it up louder than anyone else if people sleep on it. I'd say between $300 and $400 for just the speakers and amps, no subs and sub amps yet.

You wouldnt have a problem just runing both sets of rears on the rear amp channels (use the 4 chan), you just need to make sure that the amp is 2ohms stable. The only complaint I have heard of was the fact that both rears are always at the same volume level. This would be better than runing any channles form the deck
