How we doing guy's.
i am new to this forum, just picked up bored and stroked 454 to a 502.
seems to run good althoug it diesel's when i shut her down.
i believe it is carb. ?
any ideas. ?
also, what should i set timing at and if i adjust vaves what should they be set at ?, solid lifters.

By dieseling do u mean that it keeps runnin after u turn the car off? If so I had a buddies car that did that. It ended up needing a resistor i believe on a wire going to the MSD box.

YES, CAR RUNS AFTER TURNING OFF. RUNNING HEI DIST.

more than likely you have your idle set to high...if your idle is set too high,,it will diesel really bad..back the idle screw off a few turns and see if that cures your problem..also could be you choke sticking..make sure that its disengaing all the way when its supposed to.. possibly be your timing as well..might have it advanced to much but more than likely its the idle setting..
