WoW! Just picked up the latest issue of Car & Driver, and while flipping through came upon the E55 AMG. The performance figures are outstanding! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

469hp/516lb.ft. torque
0-60...4.5
ET...12.7 @ 117 mph.

With a good set of drag radials or slicks I bet this baby would be close to a low twelve second player. I know the price is $74,000, still not to bad for an auto supercharged five cylinder Benz with all the luxury amenities. What does everyone here think??

I guess if you could disable th etraction control the DRs would improve those numbers.

Yep, I saw that issue of C&D tv last week. That would be the car I would buy if I had the $$. Corvette performance and Benz luxory. Pretty good combo!

Plus I think the E55 has slightly more 'aggressive' gearing possibly.
Both are pretty quick for what they are though.

I got in a short race with one of these. Holy S&%t. I didn't think he'd go, so we basically started from a first gear roll. I only had a half a car on him through 90. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
