Now Boyce Jr has a little sister, poor kid, she doesn't stand a chance when she hits her teens.

Congrats Boyce now your going to need TWO carseats for the back of the camaro. That was some funny shit seeing you drive up in your gutted race car with a child seat in the back with no passenger seat :)

Thanks everyone. Talk about a whirlwind. Saturday night Misty starting having small contractions about 10-12 minutes apart and we didnt think to much of it. Out of nowhere her water broke and her contractions went to 5 minutes apart. So it was, load up the burb we are out of here at 1030pm. Half way to Evergreen Hospital the contractions went to about 2 minutes apart. I thought we were going to have a baby inside the car on the way to the hospital. Got to the hospital and got her to a room. After sitting in the bath tub for about 20 minutes it was time to push. After 15 minutes of pushing we had the new little one. Misty did this with no medications or drugs of any kind. The hospital said that only 10% of the 400 births a month can do it all natural (note to self, dont piss her off). The baby came so fast that there wasnt even a doctor in the room with us and the nurse ended up having to deliver the baby! I will be inquiring as to what kind of a discount I am going to get for not having a doctor present in the room when the baby is delivered.
She is a tiny little thing and is very quiet. She has yet to cry once. Even when she was born she just looked around at everyone and she only makes little noises when she is hungry. It was really nice not having a squalling baby in the room with us like some of the other new parents that were there. But she was up all night wanting to eat so we are both tired. I stayed up to make sure Misty was comfortable and had what she needed. Not only that but the hospital had cable so I got to watch all the discovery channel and history channel I could handle. Even got to watch a Barret Jackson auto auction. Resto'd 63 (maybe 64) 427/435 convertable vette went for $135,000.00! So I did get to do SOME car stuff :D
We are now back at home and getting settled in. Baby is doing great and so is mom. We have nick named Sailer, "Squeeker". She makes little mouse squeek's when she sleeps. Little Boyce is loving having a sister around.
As soon as I can find the memory card for my digital camera I will get some pics up.

Adorable Boyce! Congrats again! :)
So did Misty have her under water? Is that what the bathtub was for? I watched a show the other day where a lady did that and it looked so easy, no drugs there either. :eek2:
Kudo's to Misty for going through that Drug free! :hail:

The tub is to help her relax. When we got there she was only dialated to a 4. After 20 minutes in the tub she was a 9. A water birth is a pretty amazing thing to see but Evergreen wouldnt allow it. Evergreen is on the cutting edge of babay delivery with new concepts etc. but no water deliveries are allowed there yet. The Evergreen Birthing center which is right over by the hospital is a midwifery that does allow for water births and other alternative methods. We really wanted to go there because it is a MUCH more "home" type environment and it allows the mothers to stay alot more relaxed (this helps alot in the labor process). But only ZERO risk patients can be admited and Misty wasnt a ZERO risk because of the complications she had early in the pregnancy.
Oh Mark,.......she saw that post. Run to the hills brother :D

Good stuff man! Congrats!
April (my wife) is now two days PAST her due date (4/5). No baby as of yet. She had her first (my stepaughter) naturally as well. They even had to force her to take some Tylenol afterwards. Ethan (our now fashionably late son) will be born the same way, that is just as soon as he decides to join us. It's good to see there are still some people who will have a baby the way humans have been doing it for thousands of years. :)
Best wishes to you, your wife and the wee one. :) Is this your first? If so, welcome to the world of the sleepless.

This is our second so its not the first time I've been through it. But it has been a LONG time since I have had to, so I am still trying to get used to it. Makes me glad I ride the metro to work in the mornings. I was able to get almost an hours worth of extra sleep :D
