Stereo & Electronics - Monsoon question.

Another error message from my head unit tried cleaning it that didn't work. I have the steering wheel controlls but cant find an adapter for a aftermarket panasonic unit that i have. I want to retain the steering wheel controlls. On ebay i have seen a 12 disk changer off of a 2002 SS. will that work with my factory monsoon stereo and will it fix my problem? I would appreciate any suggestions yall yould have.

CAN I STILL USE MY STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS WITH MY NEW HU?

Yes, you can still use your steering wheel controls if your new HU uses an infrared remote control. There are a few different adapters available. I like the PAC SWI-X

As far as the cd changer, it should work.

You can use your factory steering wheels with an aftermarket player.
You basically have two options.
1. Replace the factory with another factory
2. Replace the factory with a much nicer after market unit.
