Stereo & Electronics - Swapping Stock monsoon to corvette bose?

just wondering if you can use any of the bose line speakers, either out of a truck or corvette, to replace stock monsoon? i ask because my dad just got an 05 silverado with bose and it's sounds bad ass and i don't think there is a built in amp, so if you could hook those up to a monsoon they should sound awsome.

Why in the world would you do this? My car came with the bose system. Aftermarket component sets sounds MUCH better.

Don't waste your money or time doing that. The system in your dads truck is amplified. The factory amp is located in the bottom of the center console in the truck. A good set of aftermarket components will sound ten times better.

Bose systems use individual amps for the speakers that are supposedly tuned to the location of the speaker. The amps take pre-amp input rather than the speaker-level that Monsoon systems use.
