Racer's Lounge - According to Car and Driver, LS1 is 5.6L SOHC

Just pulled up a recent episode of car and driver TV on the tivo. They showed 5.6L SOHC on the GTO. Called it an LS1 and talked about pushrod power while hte graphic was up. Just goes to show how little most of the people there know. :eyes:

Edit: Then they admitted that they lied in a magizine article, stating the Pontiac GTO was better in some respect than most current production ferraris...and they never even got their hands on a ferrari to drive it was 100% BS. :eyes:

Edit: This was in 1964 or so. I wasn't very clear on that. I can only assume the rampid bullshit nowadays isn't admitted to. :eyes:

Yes, it was, and they made claims that the Pontiac GTO was better even though they didn't get their hands on a ferrari to actually dirve. They just BS'ed it for reader reaaction and because they felt like it.

Yea I remember hearing that as well, I had a pretty good laugh after hearing that :jest:

I hate Car and Driver. I cancelled my subscription about a year ago and switched to Motor Trend.
