whats everyone doing for speaker removal? i have the monsoon stereo (6 speakers) and im looking for sound qaulity and decent bass.
the last 2 cars i put speakers in we only used 6.5 components running off a dedicated amp and it sounded amazing. are you guys doing "less is better" or are people upgrading all 6 speakers and running amps to then and then subs?
at the most put better speakers in the doors, and put 6.5s in the middle speaker holes, 4 of those ran off a 4ch amp.

6.5" components up front, a good sub in rear, and either 1 or 2 amps...
its most common with our car.

I have the door and sail panel speakers amplified and then two subs amplified, the rear speakers sounded like shit running off HU power when the system was turned up so i disconnected those. My setup is what i would call SQ anmd decent bass. My last setup was 2 15"s with one shitty amp per sub and no speaker amplification, that was a garbage bass system and i cant do it like that anymore.

sail speakers are the middle speakers? the ones right by the back seats?

Yes... the factory one's are actually 'subs' . No high freq's.. They're bonded with the front channel as far as fading goes.
In the stock setup, the oem HU powers the front tweeters, and the amp does the front woofers.

that's the advice I took, and I have no regrets.
