Racer's Lounge - Which Cell Phone Service Provider?
I am getting a cell phone and wondering which carrier is the best? I used to have Tmobile and the reception was terrible. I think it was from the free nokia phone they gave. You get what you pay for. :eyes:
Anyways, Id like to get a picture phone or even one that takes videos if its cheap enough. Which brands to consider and which ones to avoid?

Verizon all the way. I have had T-Mobile, Nextel, and Verizon and Verizon was far better than Nextel, and a little better than T-Mobile.
It could have been the phone, T-Mobile was pretty good to me. Only reason I changed was because I never got service on my campus with T-Mobile.
But yeah. Verizon all the way.

I have Cellular One and I like it a lot. They arent really as nation wide as Verizon so thats what I would go with if I were you.

I would go with Rogers AT&T Wireless
Just depnds where you are at. Try asking peple in the same area where you live. Here in southern TX, nothing beats Sprint.

I have the Samsung Version: A670
It has a great camera function that's is easy to use and is small. It also takes really good pics. You can also take videos....great reception etc.
Yeah, Verizon is a good company. You can get in-network calling. So if anybody you talk to is using verizon you talk to them for free regardless of the time. Almost all my family and friends are on it so I just pay for the smallest number of minutes possible....

Ive had Cingular for 8 years now love em....Reception has ALOT to do with quality of the phone, I noticed a big difference in buildings when going from my former sony ericson t610 to my current audiovox smt5600... Rception was good now its incredible!

If you don't like rude customer service, then stay away from Sprint. I get good reception for the most part, but shitty service.

Yeah but I only gotta worry about a tumor growing out the side of my head w/ a cellphone, w/ a bike or waverunner there's a shitload more problems to worry about.

Hey I see your in Chicago why not US Cellular. I'll be up front by saying I do work for them but I honestly have never had problems with service. We get alot of tmobile and sprint customers into our stores. Us and verizon both use cdma technology while the others use gsm. If you travel internationally I would say get cingular just for the GSM but if you just travel throughout the US definetly consider US Cellular. I guarantee that your service will be just as good if not better with USC as it would be with Verizon and it will be alot cheaper. go to www.uscellular.com and look at their price plans. If you want my number if you have questions you can PM me and I can give you a call or give you my number. I also know people at stores all over chicago and the burbs so if let me know what town you're in I can tell you who to see and have em give you the LS1tech discount LOL..To look at ratings and people's opininons go to www.howardforums.com you'll see people are real honest about the different services they have. Either way though in chicago get Us Cellular or Verizon you won't be disappointed with either
