The E60 5 Series will reportedly get a pair of new V8s for the 2006 model year. The 540i and 550i will replace the 545i with a 306hp 4.0L V8 and a 367hp 4.8L V8 respectively. I'd also wager that the E63 6 Series at least gets the 4.8L V8 turning the 645Ci into the 650Ci, however I'm not sure about the smaller 4.0L V8 since the 6 sells in smaller numbers than the 5 and is already available in less expensive straight 6 form.
