Stereo & Electronics - Are JBL amps any good?
I have seen some good prices on JBL amps at Best Buy and the specs read pretty well but I have no experience with them. Are they a decent quality product?

JBL amps are very solid. nice x over section. JBL is really underrated, they make some killer speakers too
The reason I was asking was this (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10042126&catid=20100) was Best Buy's cheapest amp but the power output is better than amps costing much more. Note the price is in $CAD.
I was looking at these (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10040373&catid=20114) component speakers as well. I tried some Infinity's which sounded nice in the store but had no mid range in the car for some reason.
Check the price and specs on this amp (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10055364&catid=20100), I hope its an error.

Excellent, just ask Mike Bartells, Alma Gates, or Gary Biggs ----- BUT they come at a price especially if you want the Crown/Jbl amps....whoaaaaaa!
That is not to say that there are not amps that are a better value $/watt. Personally, that is why I went w/Memphis, also underated and good reputation, along w/carrying a FULL product line from subs and comps to amplifiers/EQ's.
Seems JBL is committed to getting back into the car audio arena. If fact, the Hollywood JBL car is on the cover of Car Sound and Mag this month.
In fact, they MAY be in my next install project!

I know alma personally, and she is a great person. I always did love the Bronco. JBL is a good brand for the money. But make sure you know what your are buying. Some amps dont have subsonic filters for example.

BTW you can find MUCH better prices online than at those stores.

I'd go for Memphis. Great output for your $$$'s. I've used them for both street systems and my SQ then turned SPL car in competition. They are a Great power amplifier. They also look nice with the polished aluminum.
