Stereo & Electronics - What does it mean when you lose power randomly

My co-workers maxima has a problem with the power all of a sudden dropping off, like all ther lights on and in the car dim..can barely hear the radio, then it comes back on, only happens for a few seconds. The battery cables are new and the alternator is pretty new, dont know the age of the battery. Any help is appreciated.

Could be the alternator, when did your co-worker get the new one installed?

he said it was replaced in spring of this year

Wouldn't hurt to get it tested. Autozone does it for free. And tell em to check out that battery while they're at it.

make sure you check all the wires, main grounds (engine block to chassis)

Could be a loose connection. The jarring and bumps would make it loose connection for a second
