Here is what I need to do…

I want to have a switch that creates a circuit. In this circuit I also want to have a push button that will break the circuit even though the main switch is still on. Then when I flip the main switch off and back on I want to re-establish the circuit.

Any ideas on the cleanest way to do this?

Also, anyone know what wire is switched power on an 02 camaro?

sounds like a circuit breaker to me bu,t I'm sure you don't want a household circuit breaker in your car, do you?

Yoda - you seek Yoda!

I think all you'd need is a couple of relays and some time. there are several 12vdc power wires on your car. Hayne's manuals have some decent schematics that should help you.

Sounds like he wants a self resetting latch of some sort.

What's the rest of the circuit look like. What are you trying to control.

Well here is what I’m trying to do. I’m looking for a better way to control my line lock so I can do controlled burnouts at the track and then toll out of it without having to flip a switch.

I’d like to press the brakes and then flip an ignited protector switch to enable the lock. Once I’m done roastin em up I want to just hit a button that will release the line lock noid.

Now the catch is that in this situation I would want the line lock noid to engage the very next time I flip the main ignited switch on.

Make sense?

How about eliminating the toggle switch and just using a push button with a latching relay to perform both on and off functions? Or, for that matter, what about just getting a push on/push off switch?
