First run.....I'm in the staging lane after my normal burn out. I'm in first gear and the lights go down the tree, I let off the clutch to go, and bam the shifter pops out of first into neutral. As my oponent is already 1/3 of the way down the track, I put the shifter back in first and try to go again. POP, and the car wouldn't move. I had to have it towed back to the shop. :( I think somehow the bolts in the ends that hold the driveshaft to the front and rear, I think one ends bolts sheared. Because, if one of the half shafts broke the other one would spin....Right? Anyway...........My car is back in the shop and I'll know what broke on monday. :( :barf:

Really sorry to hear this, as I know the feeling. After my clutch install, my third launch and bam, no clutch pedal at all, stuck in first. It was install error, and I also had to have a tow, home, then to shop. Maybe it's minor and you can still get one of the remaining days.

I have between 125/150 passes this summer and haven't broke anything. :)
There are two car camps, the ones who show an shine, and the ones that show/shine and race. Second group is generaly hung like horses though. :jest:

:jest: I'll post what I find out on Monday night after work. They should have my car ripped apart to find out what exactly went snap!! Hopefully its something small and inexpensive....But I don't think corvette and inexpensive go together. Either way, I'll be at the track when I can.

That sucks. I blew my rearend and drive shaft at Bremerton and the car did not even move an inch off of the starting line.

That was me. :( Is that where you ran your 11.02? I was so bummed after my car broke, I didn't do anything but sit in my car and wait for the tow truck. I should of watched some races at least. Well this hobby aint cheap and sometimes aint fun. But it's the love of these cars I think that keeps me coming back. Nice run BTW. So did you get a roll cage? You had to of to run those times....... :eek2:

Yeah, I'm just hoping that It'll be cheaper this time or something minor like bolts instead of an expensive part like the flux capacitor!! But it was a loud pop!!! I can't win for losing.............

I wasin't ready to go play on Saturday, I went today. One of my friends told me about your troubles.
I put a roll bar in the car two weeks ago, just a Wolfe bolt in.

I read the title and though "man...that sucks...he is living the never-ending saga of crap for luck on this tranny". :(
Once you are *done* with "that shop" you are taking it to Ellis, right?

Well if he doesn't, he can practice on yours, then later he'll be ready to work on mine. Just playing, as I am sure he knows what he is doing. It may be an install issue though, form the shop that did work? Might have to take it back to them? PM Ellis and see what he thinks.
