How hard would it be to change the distributor (HEI) in a 1983 Blazer? If someone could give me the steps, that would be great.

Not sure what exactly you are asking??? Do you want to know how hard it is to go from one HEI to another, or to switch your HEI out for something else?
Swapping out the HEI for another is relatively simple. Just mark (on the dist.) where it was when you pulled it out (make a chalk mark on the dist. shaft and intake) and where the cap was facing. The best way to do it, is to pull the old one, bring the engine around to TDC, drop then new one, set base time, then hook up your advance. Hope that helps.
