Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - Will the LS1 AIR Pump work on a SBC?

My friend has an 84 Camaro Z28 w/ a 350 crate motor, healthy cam, and a 650(?) carb on i I want to say. maybe 750. His car, has an EGR system, however does NOT have an AIR System. He took it for emissions and FAILED. Since I plan to rip my system out because i won't need it to pass Emissions, I was wondering will my AIR pump/system work w/ his SBC since they are overall similar motors or is it way to differnet? Please let me know

probaly not, but it could be rigged up. there is otherways to pass emissions too. hit me up on aim if you need some help what color is it, did he buy my old camaro?

oh and he didnt fail because he is missing the air most likely. he failed because it has a camed 350 and not a stock junk 305.

well they said he needed an AIR system...thats why i ask. Also I don't knwo if your old maro had a Auto Trans in it.
