I currentle have the MRV-F357 5CH amp made by alpine. Im running a temp. audio setup until i can get the rear bumper of my car fixed, from the lady who rearened my car and i got some scrape marks.. :bang: , but my question is that im using each of the 4ch's to power my pioneer speakers, and the other CH. to power ONE of my subs, but can i bridge both of my subs to run on the same 5th CH.?. Im almost certian that it would be ok, and i wouldent mess with running the incorrect ohms, but i want to make sure....

the subs are the 12W3v2-D4 JL audio, 4 ohms.

here is a link to the alpine pfd amp specks....
I am running the 5ch setup @ the end of page 13, not @ the top.

if they're dvc wire each sub's voice coils in series and then wire the subs together in parrallel, this will give you a total of 4 ohms so you should be good to go.

The subs are NOT (DVC) :(

EDIT: For two 4 ohm speakers, the total impedance would be 2 ohms. This is correct right, now i just have to make sure the amp can take the 2ohm load?

mm like this?

EDIT: Yeah on the spec's page on the pfd, it ONLY has 4ohms for the 5th CH. so it looks like i cannot do it... :(

you may be able to do it at 2 ohms, i read that manual for your amp and it doesnt say anything against running 2 ohms on the sub channel.

another thing you could try is running the subs in series, even though the faq i linked says its not recommened i have done it before without problems.
