Went to US 41 tonight with my 02 z28 camaro. I have a lid, FTRA, bo white ported TB, and a electric cutout. Stock everything else. Shaved some weight too. Pulled the passenger seat, front sway bar, spare tire and jack, and skinnies on the front. stock street tires on the back 275/40/17 dunlops. All i can say is the 60 foots were amazing tons in the 1.80's. my best 60 foot was 1.867 (on street tires) . Gotta be close to a record Also i have automatic. my best time was

60 ft 1.899
330 ft 5.321
1/8E.T. 8.104
1/8 MPH 88.56
1000ft 10.512
1/4 E.T. 12.542
1/4MPH 111.66

DA was around 100 foot. That run was my best MPH and ET.

Cannot wait till my yank 3600 gets here.

Nice, did you see any of my passes? I had the red Formula on Bogarts. I think I saw you, you had Convo Pros up front?

I gotta say, the track hooked pretty darn good, and the car went felt great going down the track. I think I was getting some belt slippage but it was too late in the nite to pull it off and mess with it. I think the car will easily go a 9.35 next time, but maybe even a 9.29 if I can maybe clean up certain parts of the tune.

everytime ive been there i've spun even just a little bit off the line even on nittos @ 16PSI need to lower them. best 60 ft was 1.927sec best time on this setup full weight was 12.89@107.67 +70% humidity so i think i have more left in it. I think before i really start cuttin wieght, just get the little things and maybe the back seat, i should be able to get 12.60's

Nice runs. I was there in the Phantom Black GTO, putting some baseline runs in. My stock was 13.647 @ 103.4 MPH, full weight with me ~ 3960 lbs.

I spun in second almost every time. Next time, I won't be running all-weather tires!

Pretty nice. That TC with DRs will really help you out. I was running similar times with similar mods (no WR though, about 3500lbs RW) on an M6 with 60s in the same area in 1400+ DA at GLD (I never run good there). I hope to get back to a better track this fall with DA near 0 to see what it can really do. Will you be at the 41 rental?

BADSZ28
No i will not be there for the track rental, i am actually in peoria right now with a Caterpillar internship. yeah that is really good 60ft for an m6 on street tires. I could only manage a 2.0 with my buddies 01 ss m6, although it has been close to 8 months since i drove one.

No, that was on DRs. I can't get the car out of the hole for nothing. That TC with DRs should net you an 11 in near 0 DA. I am hoping for an 11 with similar mods. I am debating gutting the car as much as possible before I go to assist with this. I do not care what it looks like, as long as I can easily remove and replace it. But I do not know what I can take out without getting too involved. Or how much of a difference it will make. I will look at the WR list and see if what I can do. Good luck with that car and you internship.

I also had my best times, but no where near as good as most of you. Mods are Lid, Pacesetter LT's (untuned), Loudmouth, and SFC's. A4 2.73
My first run was 15.9 @71.... yeah, I was like the 5th car out on a cold track and when I hit second I spun bad, bounced off the rev limiter and coasted the rest of the way. After that I ran 13.36, 13.37, and 13.38. Maybe I need to start bracket racing... All runs had 2.0x 60fts and all at 105 mph. I always have fun at SCC and I'll be back for sure next year, hopefully with a good stall.

Must have been a good night for bests! I ran my new best, all motor 10.87 @ 129.7 w/ a 1.55 60'. Hit the rev limiter in 3rd gear, and could have launched harder. Great night, track was hooking super.

I can't believe how many guys from the track are on the board.... amazing! I saw all of you guys racing!

I raced a red Z06 on my 9.40 pass, he went 11.6.@124 I think.

PSJ, that was my buddy Jeff. He is actually a 98 coupe with the air ducts. Its a 383 AFR 205 motor that makes ~440+ rwhp and 440+ rwtq...with a 228/228 cam!!!! Awesome heads. Stage 3 tranny with 3000 rpm stall. Still an ls6 intake to boot. He ran a 1.8x but spun and got out of the throttle. Later in the night he ran a 1.8 but stayed in it and ran an 11.4. I think the car has a 11.1 in it with a badass launch.

I ran that car on one of my passes... I had him by a car length out of the hole, but he came passed me in a hurry at about the 1/8 mile!

What's up guys; I don't post much, so consider me a newbie. I had that red vette / Z06 look-a-like. PSJ got me STOOPID hard out of the hole... what a wake up call on a what a 'real' launch is! 9.X wasn't too shabby either ;)

OctaneZ28 - I remember that too - fun stuff! btw - GO SOX!! (we got lucky last night!!)

I need some slicks and some track time; that was a blast. 'ol buddy greg has some tricks up his sleeve for his car too (ls7 stuff); I can't wait to get his LSX intake!

ohh yeah, Greg lent me his street tires (he had slicks on); going from MY Kuhmo's to HIS Nittos = .15-.2 (Best - 11.46 @ 124mph) Moral of the story is tires are a SWEET mod!!

Happy racin'!
