Fueling & Injection - Any problems with 110 octane ruining O2's?

I normally add about 2 gallons of 110 octane leaded gas to my regular 93 octane just to boost it up for nitrous. I was wondering if anyone had any problems with it messing up their O2's. So far so good but my friend who is the local T/A guru scolds me constantly for it, lol.

it does mess up O2s. can't remember who, but somebody makes lead resistant O2 sensors. i would watch it, cause it may cause them to start misreadin adn that is bad, especially when nitrous is involved

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. I'm afraid it will fry the O2's and then lean it out. I'm thinking of investing in a wide band anyways but I've decided to lay off of the 110 anyways for now. If you can remember who has the resistant O2's let me know.

Denso makes the sensors which have been found to be quite resiliant to lead. But no sensor to my knowledge is lead proof. Any brand will eventually succumb to the same slow painful death. If you log fairly often you should be able to see you o2's dying. Youll also toss a handful of codes before they put you in the danger zone unless youve disabled them. Id check with the guys in teh spray forum to see if it adds any additional danger, but for N/A applications, youll have warning before they completely go out.

Leaded gas will kill stock 02's, can happen slowly if you are mixing. A full tank of 110L usually killed 02's in a week.

I killed my o2s in about 50 miles of driving, 4 gallons of 91 octane and 4 gallons of 110 leaded. (I didn't know it was leaded at the time, thought it was 100 unleaded, but was logging and noticed the o2s starting to fade, by the next day I was getting the 'insufficient switching' SES light).

It didn't affect open loop (obviously) but driving around town sucked. Its no big deal cause I can scrounge o2s to replace em.

These were 75k 7yo o2 sensors, so the age might be why they died so quickly.

Like I said, I usually add about 1 gallon of 110 to every 8 gallons of 93. But I do plan on getting the densos. I mentioned a lead resistant O2 to my buddy and he said that he actually runs the densos in his and they've held up for 2-3 years mixing the gas the same as I do. Thnx for the input guys, appreciate it.

That ratio is raising your octane to not even 95.
