Does anyone have any door speakers (monsoon) for the 2000 camaro for sale? If you still have your factory speakers for the door and/or the back seat (are they the subs?) I would be willing to buy them as long as their working
thanks.

I've also got ONE door speaker. Sold my back sail panel speakers already and the OTHER door speaker was blown (hence the reason for replacing everything). Had it on two other boards for sale recently. WORKING and decent condition (good contacts/magnet/cone/frame). Asking $20 + S/H (about 28 bucks). Pictures available at

eBay: 8011480669, many others. Probably your best bet.
Honestly though, I don't know why anybody who can do the replacement themselves would bother with another Monsoon speaker.
Buy Alpine 170A's or similar and bi-wire them up. It won't be louder (more bass) but they sound sooo much better in the highs and mids.

I agree with Todd. I thought about getting another stock door speaker when the the right one blew. I'm much happier with the Alpines. Now I just need to get rid of the stock sails. I'm planning on trying out the ID CX62's back there.

I wasn't clear about it, but you won't LOSE any bass either. The Aplines will be a 4 ohm load on the amp, so the amp puts out power at a different rate. You'll have to set the fader towards the front to keep the volume levels balanced - but the end volume and total bass ends up being the same, much more accurate, much more durable, with MUCH better mids and highs.
No way in hell I would pay more than $10 for a stock driver.
YOu can find alpines for less than $65 shipped from net vendors.

I'm not really sure my speakers are gone. But the only time they don't break up real bad is when I fade the speakers to the rear speakers only. So I don't know if my amp is bad or the speakers are bad. Any thoughts? How would you bi-wire the Alpines?

There are several brands that work with the monsoon.(2ohm)
You may use this time to upgrade. Check out #4 in the FAQ.

I just saw this post that you may be intrested in.

My four factories (Camaro setup) sold for over $100 on eBay, without the wiring harnesses and front mounting brackets.
Can't say I'm upset about this but I still don't understand wth someone would pay that. I moved to 4 Alpines and it didn't cost me a dime. Just time.
