Automotive News, Media & Press - Will the new Camaro actually be advertised this time?

I can never recall seeing one single advertisement for the 4th gen Camaro. The commercial with the WS6 eating a Lambo motivated me to go check out a TA (which I bought), but never a Camaro. Will we ever turn on the TV and see a Z28 smoking the tires, or at least an advertisement in a magazine? Tell me Chevrolet has a new advertising team now.

Most of the ads I have seen from GM lately are of people buying the cars. Of course this is to get people thinking about buying a GM cars.

The ads really don't focus an ANY particular vehicle or state why the customer should buy it.

Hard to say that even if they put of an advert for it the common, uninformed person wouldn't even realise it was for that car.

That damn cobalt/corvette commercial still pisses me off.

I remember a commercial for the Camaro, with the blind kid. I forgot what it was about really, been so long since I've seen it. Somethin' like the blind kid was calling out to his friend what car was passing by his window... then the Camaro passed by and he was running down the specs or something. I dunno.

Heh! I remember that one...

The kid wasnt blind, they were both inside a house listening to cars go by with the one describing each. I cant think of another 4th gen Camaro commercial.

I believe I would directly relate chevy's poor camaro sales with that statement of no marketing for it. I would sure hope that if they want to beat the mustang in sales or sell over 100,000 camaros they get on the ball will a very good advertising campaign to generate interest.

Just show a camaro in a high speed pursuit and watch them fly out of the dealer lots like the Cadillac in the Matrix Reloaded.

The only LS1 Camaro commercial I remember is the only where the Z28 pulls up behind a bunch of Harley riders and they let the Z drive through the middle. Has anyone seen a GTO commercial? I've seen some print, but nothing on TV.
