my opinion is yawn. Nothiing great about it. It is a copy of the past. I am much more a fan of Harvey Earls, "Don't look back, only go forward" ideal. look at the camaro, while it does look back to the original camaro, it does have a looking foward design to it. It is not just a boring copy.
Just my opinion.

I took the survey , I hope they build it.I would rather drive that than a mustang.I have my doubts if chevy will be building the camaro. Were all going to need a newer vehicle sometime.

i would very seriously consider buying a Challenger if they build it and Chevrolet does not build the Camaro.

3,000 over a base v-6 for 425-HP and 6-speed would be :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:
But i call bullshit.

The Challenger would be nice if it didn't weigh as much as a loaded-up luxury sedan. Christ, it's supposed to be a muscle/sporty car, not a damn boat.
I can't stress my point enough about the BS weight of cars these days.

Consumer want modern amenities but don't want to pay for lightweight materials, it's no wonder transport is getting heavier.

I agree, and its the ONE thing that bothers me. Not just of the challenger but of the new potential camaro as well. The car could weigh close to 4000lbs. Why?
It doesn't make sense unless they're trying to keep the power/weight ratio down so it doesn't compete with higher end cars ala viper or Vette.
Reducing weight helps in more way than one.

Uh, that's not it. Crash regs, materials, features, everything is making modern vehicles weigh more. If you want a Lotus Elise or cars with aluminum or other expensive materials for parts prepare to pay up.

If it were 25k for the 425 I would really be interested, except for that stupid weight!!! UGH!!!

Even if you don't like the car you should want it built. If there is a big demand for this car there will be more entries to the field.

I would buy that Challenger only with a 6 speed and it comes out in two years right? Not really convinced by the new Camaro but show me the new Trans Am and GM gets my attention. So yes, Chrysler build the Challenger!
