I haven't really seen too many comments either way on this topic, so I thougth I'd see if I could pick your guys' brains a bit.

For those that have done the SBC/BBC swap, which did you use: the BMR tubular K-member or the LT1 K-member? Other than cost savings, are there any other advantages to using the LT1 version over the BMR product?

Thanks in advance.

If your planning on putting a BBC in a 4th gen you can use the stock or LT-1 k-menber without modifing it. You'd be better off just buying the one for the BBC.

The tubular K-members are not that stout. If I were doing it
over I would at least reinforce the obvious weak points, the
critical welds, before installing. But I'm more leaning toward
swiss-cheesing a stocker, for something that's gonna have
that much more nose weight and front end chassis / suspension
stress.

Check the Handling & Braking section if you want to find all
of the people who dislike tubular K members for street duty.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'll do some browsing around.
