Ok I'm going to be changing the cutouts on my car to electric so I can stop crawling under the car every time.

I want to change the tcs plate over to a vert plate and use the vert switch to open and close the cutouts.

I searched but unfortunately the topic I remember seeing is lost in the abyss of the archives somewhere.

Does anyone happen to have the wiring info to do this? And does anyone have the part number for the harness to plug into the switch or have an alternative? thanks!

I was going to do this back in '03, found the instructions on the old ls1.com site and printed it out - never tried it though. Don't know if the PN is still correct either. Here's the info from the post:

"The harness to use is GM PN 15306189. That will plug into the camaro and firebird covertible switch.

Pin B - Illumination
Pin C - Illumination ground
Pin H - Ground
Pin D - Ground
Pin F - Ignition
Pin E - Cutout motor
Pin A - Cutout motor

What I do for Pins E - A is the switch they come with has a nice phonejack type connector coming off the switch. It has a gray wire and a white wire coming out of it wired to the switch. I cut them off the QTEC switch and wire to pins A - E."

Hope this helps...

A little more info...the harness PN appears to be good, the PN for the vert switch I bought (01042721) isn't. The original post was dated 1/24/03.

If you look at the back of the switch:
TAB
E F G H

D C B A

H = Ground
G = Empty (not used)
F = Power (12v)
E = Up (+) Cutout (open)
A = Down (-) Cutout (close)
B = Lamp (+)
C = Lamp (-)
D = Ground

B and C are interchangable for the light, so they don't matter. This switch is a basic reverse polarity unit. When you press one direction, A becomes + and E becomes -. Press the other way and A becomes - and E becomes +. Get it?

If you look at the harness side, just flip the image over and it will look like this:
TAB
H G F E

A B C D

H = Ground
G = Empty (not used)
F = Power (12v)
E = Up (+) Cutout (open)
A = Down (-) Cutout (close)
B = Lamp (+)
C = Lamp (-)
D = Ground

That part number has a couple of digits reversed... the switch part number is 10402721 for Camaro, 10402722 for Firebird. The only difference between them is the color of the switch.
