i have an older pioneer premiere head unit
pioneener 6x9s with a 250watt rating
fronts are infinity 4 inch plates
the sub is a 12 inch image dynamics i.d
the amp is a pioneer gm520t amp

the box was custom built by another thirdgenner

That looks nice!
I have a third gen too, how hard was it to make the box? is it enclosed on the bottom? a friend of mine just took a board, mounted the subs and pressed it down over that little pit in the bottom of the trunk so it mostly seals itself and it sounds pretty good. but i want mine to bump a little harder.

Thats nice!
I don't know if you feel you have enough thump, but considered moving the amp to the center and having a sub on each side? Not that everyone needs 2, just I'm a symetry freak!

One sub in the correct airspace will be alot better then two in the wrong airspace so make sure you have enough space for both. Doubling cone area and power will only net you ~+3db gain which is not that auditable to the human ear.
