Stereo & Electronics - sub box

i'm looking for one of those mtx sub boxes that goes in the left rear panel, where a factory cd changer would go.

i wouldnt fool w/ the mtx subs. i had some in my car before an they r ok.... but not what you would expect. i took two JL 12's and built a box in the trunk area. sound supreme. subs r one of those things u buy and then ur like man i wish i would have spent a lil more and pickd up sumn better

but i want to keep that area for the t tops. i want to go alpine all around for the 6.5" what models are the best? i'm not looking for the most expensive. i want good price, good quality. i found some type s two ways for 60 bucks on ebay. for a pair. looks to be decent. they're new. better than the 100 bucks from best buy.

You have several options.
MTX is not the only brand that makes stealth boxes. JL Audio makes a great sounding and looking box for the side.
They make t-top boxes that also hold the t-tops for you.

JL does makea killer setup for the f-bodies. i looked into it but i figured hey back seats afre too small for ne one to sit in so ill just stick the t tops back there lol. also im a huge alpine fan. by far alpine and JL audio have the clearest quality speakers on th e market. any alpine speakes you purchase will sound great. 60 bucks for those type s sounds like a killer deal. just remember ur gonna pay for quality and the expensive ass name lol. when i get the car back ill post some pics of my setup just for an idea.

go to google and do a search for stealth boxes for your car, they come with a 10 inch jl W3, all you would need then is a small amp to run it. They sound pretty good, but not overwhelming. if you want a box that will hold 2 12's look under ws6store.com.

I had a MTX Stealthbox and it was not bad at all. I have since replaced it with a Subthump Stealthbox with a Alpine Type S Sub. With that paired up with the passenger side steathbox, I can rattle your fillings out with my Disturbed CD.
