I work for a semi-truck leasing company. Yesterday one of our trucks came in with a busted headlight. The outer clear plastic was broken, but all the lights still worked. Of course, you can't just replace that one piece, so I had to replace the whole thing. I salvaged the projector from the old housing and thought I could use it to replace my stock foglights. Unfortunately I don't know when or if I will be able to get another one. In the meantime, I'm going to see how I could make it work. Whaddya think?

It's the lowbeam out of a 2005 Volvo.

could you just take the roundish glass part off the front and somehow mount it over the factory fog light lenses?

I suppose that's a possibility. I got lucky today. We replaced both headlights on another truck (the lenses were cloudy). So now I have three projectors. This weekend I will start working on it. I currently have no idea how I'm going to mount them to the car or enclose them from the elements. At least I have a spare.
