Stereo & Electronics - Factory Head Unit Problem

Has anyone else had problems with their factory head unit playing burned CD's? I've tried various types of CD's to see if this makes a difference, but it really is an intermittent problem. Some days it will play them, some days not, regardless of which CD. I have a preference for keeping the factory head unit, but it's just annoying since a great deal of my CD's are burned. Anyone?

The only CD's I've played in my HU were comercially produced CD's. I've read on here that it will usually play CD-R's but not CD-RW's. The CD changer on the other hand, will not play burned CD's at all, I am told.

FYI: There is nothing special about "Music CD-R's" other than they are more expensive because the major record companies get a kick-back from the CD-R manufacturer. This was brought about because of all the ruckus regarding pirated music.
