I cant determine which little black box is the BCM, can some one please post a pic.
(if you could have a pic of it installed that would be the best)
also tell me what car you took you pic from such as: this is from my 99 z28 ect...
quick replies would be great,
thanks.

It's not such a little box - it's about the size of a paperback book. You'll find it under the left side of the dash behind the glovebox. It has three connectors - 6-pin green, 6-pin black, and 32-pin blue.
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realize you had started another thread about the BCM and that it was for your 94. As I said in the other thread there is nothing in the parts list showing the location of the BCM on a 94. My description above is for 98 and up but it might be similar on your car.
I thought that in the 98+ f-body the BCM was under the center console. If that silver box that is there isnt it, then what is it?

The silver box under the console is the air bag module. It controls air bag deployment and records the last 5 seconds of its sensors (throttle position, speed, braking force, etc.) for accident investigation.

Well I found it, it was the box that half of it was slightly melted :eek2: but after taking it apart I saw a break in the circut but after some sodering it all works,
Thanks WhitebBird00 for all the help.

You're welcome. Glad you got it fixed. Where was it? Same place as on newer models?

it was up and to the right of the gas pedal, hidden in a pocket on the firewall, its also is a seven pronged box, and measured about 3x4 in. thanks again

I knew about it controlling the airbags and having 5 second recording capability. I thought that was the BCM (controlling air bags and other functions). I guess I was wrong. Cars electroincs today seem a bit disorganized with an overly complicated layout. They need to centralize it all in one place in the car (not in the engine compartment). Ether all in one unit (with plugin sections for feature differentiation between models) or all the units in one place. The layout of today's cars electronics is like having your PC's CPU on the floor, its HD on the shelf, the motherboard in a drawer, etc. :judge:

Sounds lke you are describing the rap relay assembly or the drivers autodown relay. They did not get bcm's until 96. Well sounds like you got it fixed though so thats half the battle. Only 96 up airbag DERM modules have recording capability. They are one use units. 95 prior had reusable airbag control module with three separate arming sensors that sacrifice in a collision.
