Well if you want to go all out for the stock monsoon, look up aux-pod on ebay. The prices seem to be around 100 bucks but it'll allow you to keep your ipod charged while you play it and use the radio controls to change songs and turn on/off the ipod. If you go this route then you'll lose your cd changer in the trunk as the aux-pod acts as a cdchanger and uses the same plug. NOTE: I'm not sure if this will work with the 98 monsoon tape deck w/ cdchanger.

If thats too expensive you might look into a "wired FM modulator". Its basically the same thing as your fm transmitter now except that it physically plugs into your antennae connector in the back of your monsoon so the signal should be quite a bit more clear than the wireless kind you're running. Ive seen those go for 20 bucks on the net. Down side is that you'll have to use the controls on the ipod and it wont keep it charged. Ive never used one of these but I'm assuming the sound quality wont be as good as the aux-pod (haven't used one of those either). From what I gather, the aux-pod will be like digital sound quality (great) whereas the wired fm modulator will come in as the best radio station quality (good).
