so i havent raced in a loooong time. well, maybe a race on a highway here and there...but nothing 'real'

this guy is a friend and has a 94 Cobra with a T70. i know its a stock 170k motor but i cant go into detail about the mods. i know the car is damn near perfect. Mystic chrome paint, 315 nittos out back....its a beast...

i have 224 cam, LT's, TDs....and thats all. i dyno ~377rwhp.


first race we stopped and his window was up so i wasnt sure how we were going to take off...and he kinda edged up and then when i got close he hit it. this run was him on 9#.

ok, next race he upped the boost to 12# bc he said he didnt think i would be as fast as i was :)

then for the 3rd race he was on 12# still and we had to slow down for a red light so it wasnt a good run.

fourth race he was at 15# now and i only stayed in it for a second due to a bend in the road.

last race he was still on 15# and we told him to go on green since the light was red....and i was almost stopped and the light turned green. i assumed we would just stop, but he didnt...so he got a small jump.


i was fairly pleased to do as well as i did....and he complimented me when we pulled over.

oh, and all the smoke was from his PCV valve came off his intake....thats what hes cleaning up under the hood at the end....all the oil that sprayed over everything.

all in all it was a good time.

Nice runs! :cheers: I was gonna say, first runs looked close, then after that he had a consistent slow pull on you. I was a little confused, but makes sense now, since you said that he upped the boost. What kind of power is the cobra putting down, or is that hush hush? Either way, looked like fun, and its nice to have a decent video to go with the post.

damn, nice looking cobra. It was fast for sure. I didn't see any nitrous on your mods. I bet with 150 shot and that cam, you would take him easy. :devil: But than again, he probably wasn't using any injection either.

yea that definetly sucked when the oil blew everywhere. when i was behind you trying to race the other camaro and trans am i couldnt see crap.

and i do have nitrous, just not hooked up all the way. i need to mount the bottle still and run the main feed line, but we will be running again when i get it all done :)
