Okay so i wanted nice blue HID lights on my camaro so i went and bought a set of 9006 HID plug and play lights. Well i hooked everything up and plugged everything in correctly in the car to find out that they didnt work when i turned on the switch. So i redid everything until i figured out that maybe it was the car? tried installing them on a 97 tahoe today...didnt work I had everything connected correctly (ballasters, starters) but couldnt get anythin to work. SO i got a volt meter and tested out my wires to see if they were getting power and were grounded...well it turns out they were getting power all the way UNTIL the connection from the starter to the light bulbs...??? now i have no idea why the connection wasnt going from the male to the female connectors. I tried switching bulbs with each unit and nothing seemed to work. If anyone has any idea please let me know.

Yeah that's what i would think, but what are the chances that both sets of lights are bad? It is very confusing and i have no idea what is wrong witth them.

I had a similar problem... i have HID's in my car and when i first hooked them up, i turned the switch and nothing happend... used a volt meter and found out that the positive and negative is backwards on either the kits, or our cars, but the plug from the car to the balast needed to be flipped around

Yeah but there seems no way for these plugs to switch around? they only can be connected 1 way?? If you can help me out in any way please let me know. Thanks

Yeah, they look like they only can connect one way with the clip, but you can flip it around and force it just a little and it should fit.. it will not clip and lock, but its a very snug fit so its no big deal... just make sure and check the voltage from the car and match pos and neg... this should be your problem.. if not, its a bad balast or igniter
