Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - 3rd gen carbed ls1 clearance...

1-will a carbed ls1 with a small air filter clear the stock hood or even without a filter or even without a filter it can`t be done unless you alter the engine position?

2-for the edelbrock kit does it come with the plate to mate it with a 700r4 and how much is the plate and wich part number and from where to buy?

another question will the weind stealth intake manifold on a bbc with a carb clear the stock hood? cowl hoods takes a ticket home here in kuwait :) but the ls1 question still stands.
