I was trying to find the clutch cable disconnect tool for 1999 Z28 t-56.

If I need to disconnect the slave, I just push the line in to the slave, then using a pair of small flathead screwdrivers, push the white ring at the connector towards the slave - and then pull the line out.

But if you're just pulling the trans, don't disconnect the line. Remove the transmission to bellhousing bolts, slide the tranny back about 3", and then use a 10mm wrench to remove the 2 bolts that hold the slave to the faceplate of the transmission (gearwrenches rock on these bolts, but regular wrenches work fine). Easy, and you don't have to bleed it afterwards since you didn't disconnect it. ;)

same here, screwdrivers work fine, never tryed sliding the torque back on a c5 and pulling the slave, not sure if that'll work; cool tip for the f-body's
