I recently took apart my whole LT1 top end, and was gonna have the engine rebuilt, but then decided I'd rather have a brand new carbed engine in the car. Does anybody know what else would need to be changed if this was done?
I found a place I can get a carbed 383, and they said I'd have to get a new transmission (because I have the 4L60E right now) and the PCM would be completely removed (would this affect the dual fans in front, or could I still have them hooked up to something else?).
Now I know a lot of people on here are against this whole idea of converting to a carb, but I'm not really looking for opinions, or arguments for that matter, I just want to know of EVERYTHING I'd need to buy/alter in my car before I decide to go through with this whole idea.

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help me out.

For one you would probably want to have a different trans than the 4L60E. I would go with the Turbo 350. But why would you want to carborate an LT1? Fuel injection is more expensive but it provides more accurate tuning for each RPM. why not just upgrade the injection?
