I have a 99 Z-28 with the monsoon cd player. the sound quality is terrible in the car most of the time. sometimes it sounds pretty good. about 90% of the time the volume control doesnt work. if i turn it left, sometimes the volume actually goes up. if i turn it to go up the volume goes down. and when the volume gets too loud my stereo spazz's out. it makes a extremely loud buzzing noise like the emergency tests they do on tv. I thought it was my head unit so i swapped in a monsoon tape deck and the same thing happens. I put another set of stock monsoon speakers in it too. nothing changed. I have a feeling it is my amplifier. all my wires seem ok but i suck at electrical problems. Is there any way or place i can have it tested to see if its weak or busted? has this ever happened to anyone before???
