Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - bbc in 3rd gen

I tried searchin a couple times but I came up with some oddjob stuff..I am gunna buy an 88 IROC and id like to put my bbc in it on a motor plate,race only,im gunna convert it to ladder bar stock wheel wells,can I do this with the stock kmember?what else needs to be done?Is it a huge hassle like in a 4th gen?Wat about spark plug access with the lemons headers?

Although this is an older post, I'll respond. It's no hassle whatsoever. The only thing you need to be concerned about is you're header selection (I went with Hooker's, which were specifically designed for this type of swap way back when). My advice, keep whatever ECM model that comes with the Iroc (whether it's TBI or TPI), and be sure to maintain the original ignition system. Reason being, is you're going to want to take advantage of the factory Electronic Spark Control. Have a PROM burned to maintain a constant Open Loop state.... and use whataver non-cc carb that you desire.
