I moved your thread to the SBC/BBC forum since the conversions/hybrids forum is mostly for swapping LSx motors into cars, and this forum has more info on swapping BBC motors into 4th gens. I figured you would get more responses here. There are at least a few BBC 4th gens around, did a quick search and found these http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/search.php?searchid=3492240

here's a 10.2" deck 572 with a two stage dry fogger. MadMan did the headers for us.

No kidding, update the site with firebird pics.... I assume SBC or BBC, the motor has to be taken out or dropped to get the dist out...?

or maybe a masd crank trigger system or sumptin?

You still need a distributor with a crank trigger. If you don't want to run a conventional distributor you need to use a front mount like this:

That was a 401" sbc that was in the firebird when I bought it. All I have left is the headers, complete efi/nitrous intake and converter.

The firebird is at Thunder Racing getting MadMan's magic done to the suspension, then it will be headed back for the power new powerplant (and major re-wiring job!)

The new motor should be here when the car is done at Thunder :secret:

The 572 Camaro has already been through a divorce and has since been parted out.

My advice it to use the MadMan/Thunder Racing rack. That's what we use in all our stuff.

Yeah, it's a shame about the 572 car. We've got a video of it floating around here somewhere.. I think XXX has it, but it's like 85 megs and he doesn't posess the intellect to re-size it..

^^I wouldn't want him to resize it.....give me all 85 megs please!
