Should I trust the stock alarm on my 01 TA??..is the "PASS KEY" an actual demobilzer ?? any input would be appreciated..thanks

no one has ever broken into my vert with it, but im sure that it could get better. also helps that it is stored out of sight and never left in parking lots at night really.

I dont think its any more than flashing lights and loud noises. Visual and Audible Theft Deterrent. lol

Aftermarket is always better. Yeah the stock system is ok, but its almost like you have to open the door for the stock system to sound. With aftermarket you can set it to how sensitive you want it, plus extra goodies, such as remote start, pager (letting you know your alarm is going off), rolls windows up if you forget to and so on. Dont get me wrong, the stock is descent, but I wouldent use it if I had some nice car audio. All in all, if a theif wants your car they can get it, but I would defiently feel safer with the aftermarket alarm.
