Stereo & Electronics - what does this fuse control?*pic*

it says in the manual that its Hvac and its suppose to have a 25 fuse in the slot, but there is nothing there in my car.(EMPTY FUSE SPOT AT TOP RIGHT)


can someone check their cars to see if theirs is empty also? and any idea what Hvac is?

HVAC = Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

That would be a 1-amp fuse for the steering wheel controls.

it calls for a 25 fuse,but there wasnt one in there, looking inside there also arent any tabs that hold the fuse in there.

no,no steering wheel controls

this is for a 98 camaro,it says HVAC for this fuse spot and it requires a 25 fuse.
still trying to figure this out

I don't know where you get HVAC from but perhaps you're misreading? I have checked both the owner's manual and the service manual and the third slot in the top row is for a 1-amp steering wheel control fuse. The HVAC fuse is the 20-amp fuse in the second slot of the second row.

Besides, if your car obviously doesn't require a fuse there (since there aren't any contacts in the slot) and everything is working, what does it matter?

look on the backing plate that covers the fuses...that has the little diagram...see what it says...

lol look insde where the fuse goes...looks as if there is no metal for the fuse to touch....it says i need 2 10 amp fuses for my fog lights under my hood...they arent there but my lights work...

yea...i agree...if the car works with nothing there and there is nothing for the fuse to go to...than odds are it is just an old document

It's just a spare opening no provision for fuse.

man u havent done this yet. its a free mod.... put a fuse in the and u get that amount of horse power.

5amp=5 hp
10amp=10 hp
25amp=26 hp
